Dear Friends and Customers,
I read several of your messages concerning interfacing your Consort 32
systems with different types of the latest printers. For the Laserjet IV in
particular, one way to interface it would be to use an interface from
Intelligent Interfaces, Model: Microprint 45CXA, which will hook up the printer
from the HP-IB to the parallel port on the LJ4. This interface costs $259.00
and comes with a 10' Centronix cable. For interfacing to other types of
printers, call Bob Jarvis at Intelligent Interfaces, 800-842-0888. I've already
talked to him about being a resource to address your problems with interfacing
to other types of printers and he's willing to help. He's familiar with our
products, having made the Microplot 80A and B models we use on our C30 and C32
systems, so he may be a valuable resource for all of you in that area. As
always, I have to tell you that any product BDIS has not tested is officially
"not supported". At least you have other options to consider. If I hear of any
other types of solutions, I will place those ideas out on the "net" as well.
