I read with interest the recent paper in cytometry by Ormerod et al
(Cytometry 21,294-299,1995). I am interested in results obtained by others
in this area of methodology. The paper is clear and well written and it
would seem that more laboratories have or should be doing these procedures.
My experience has been not as clear as that but they are doing some
procedures a little different.

They are staining with low levels of PI ( ie 20 ug/ml and not 50 ug/ml)
They are measuring the light scatter by log on a one decade system.
Finally, they were gating on peak versus area first and then doing their
light scatter measurement.

My question to them and to any other group would be does the new values of
%S activity give a better predictor of prognosis?

LET THE BOARD RING WITH MANY RESPONSES.
