Methinks this would be best applied to the new generation of
cytometrists! I think I first heard the name "flowers" used by Alice Givan
and Brian Shenton in the days when they were both involved in the Northern
Flow Group, based in Newcastle in the UK. Alice, you have a lot to answer
for!
