We have been using this kit and the beta test kit as a research tool to =

determine if there are activation defects in HIV patients. Our data indi=
cated =

that in early stage (asymptomatic) HIV patients 30% have a reduced respon=
se to =

Cd2/2r while 70% of the late stage patients show this same type of respon=
se. =

This "response" does not seem to be correlated with viral load but when u=
sing =

multivarient analysis we showed that changes in CD4+CD26+ and CD4+FAS cel=
l =

populations can be predictive of changes in the Cd69 response to CD2/2r. =
=

Currently our group is involved in a longitudinal study to validate these=
=

findings and to study the effects of treatment on Immune kinetics.

Hi, all there out!

I've just heard about some new BD-Kit named "FAST IMMUNE Assay system". I=
t
should replace the former LTT-Test. Principle is to detect the CD 69 as e=
arly
indicator for Lymphocyte activation. So far so well!

Has anybody just worked with this or a similar test-Kit?
Is CD 69 a real representativ for 'Lymphocyte Transformation'?

Thanks in advance

M.
