PI is not irreversibly bound to DNA. At low concentrations (probably
somewhere below 5 ug/ml) the floursence intensity will decrease. It's best
to add it 5-10 min prior to flow analysis. Any storage/fixation can be down
without PI. What, specifically, are you trying to accomplish?
