FACS operator position

A position for an experienced FACS operator is available at the University of Massachusetts Medical
Center Cancer Center.
QUALIFICATIONS: BS/MS degree in Cell Biology, Immunology or related field and 5 years flow
cytometry experience, including multi-color analysis and sterile sorting and cloning of cells. A high
degree of independence, excellent troubleshooting skills, knowledge of various data analysis programs
and a strong work ethic. The applicant should be highly motivated to contribute intellectually to
collaborative research projects.
DUTIES: To perform 2-4 color immunophenotyping, DNA/cell-cycle analysis on and sorting of subsets of
hemopoietic precursor cells. Responsibilities also include operation and maintenance of a new MoFlo, data
archiving and budgeting.
Successful candidates will join a team with skills in a number of fields, including:
hematopoiesis gene therapy
cellular immunology retro-virology
immunochemistry molecular biology
protein biochemistry cell biology
cell expansion developmental biology
