One of our students has been producing high resolution flow
karyotypes of rat chromosomes from various cell lines.
However, she is now having difficulty with preparations from normal
tissue. Spleen and bone marrow have proved difficult to stimulate
and / or block. Dermal fibroblasts have been cultured and blocked
successfully but the chromosomes are proving difficult to release
free of debris. The method is based on Sillar and Young.
Any comments would be appreciated.
