LacZ gene expression

In response to the question from Frank Isdell and Davorka Bilicic on 3 color
flow cytometry:
We prefer the Detectagene-kit for flow cytometric assays of lacZ-expression.
In our hands it gave more fluorescence that does the C12-FDG based
Imagene-kit. If you wish to use UV excitation for lacZ- espression you may
also consider the coumarin-based Detectagene Blue-kit (catalog number 2921)
of Molecular Probes, Inc. (Tel: (541) 465-8300).
