Five chapters are dedicated to microbial cytometry and cover viruses, fungi and bacteria. Several chapters deal with mounting antibody production and several chapters on physiological methods such as pH.
In general, the book is very refreshing. While the range of topics is intentionally narrow, the material covered is of high quality and up-to-date. For instance there is a nice chapter on "Antibody Secretion Assays Using Gel Microdrops and Flow Cytometry" - something I have not seen in any other books. Several chapters deal with the rapidly growing area of microbial cytometry - an area we are sure to see much more on in the future.
