mac to pc.

dear colleagues

i was wondering if anyone noticed the following phenomenon which i'm currently
trying to figure out.

i have 2,000 fcs files for one investigator which were acquired in consort 30 on
the hp and then transferred to a vax using hpvaxlink.

these files were then transferred to another vax and ftp'd to a windows 95 pc
and then transferred to a zip disk.

so far everything is fine but then when i put the zip (which btw is pc-formatted)
into the maz zip drive it only will show the first 220 files. the mac says that
the zip is full which is not the case.

has anyone noticed this before?

i've managed to transfer all the files to the mac using fetch anyway (btw
if anyone tries doing this and continuously gets -3208 errors switch
"make open transport calls" off in the misc. section of preferences) so it's
i've gotten around the original problem but i was wondering if anyone knew why it
was occuring.

thanks in advance
