I am getting occasional error messages "Cytometer returns error bit set"
when starting data acquisition (with protocols in Receive). It may be
linked with the fluorescence compensation, which is not always being
toggled on the cytometer by the first protocol sent in a session, but I
might be wrong about that.
Also, I sometimes get a small patch of hieroglyphics in the middle of the
sort screen of the cytometer, but that always goes away when the screen is
redrawn and seems to cause no harm.
Coulter apparently have not had any reports of the problems I describe, so
I am worried that I might have a hardware fault. I would be interested to
find out if other users have noticed glitches.
