The full width at half-maximum used for the HalfCV is actually 2.35
standard deviations. If you want a quick calculation which gives
something very close to the real CV, use the channels at which peak
height is 0.6 x the maximum; at 0.6 height, the distribution is
about 2 standard deviations wide.
