We are assuming that all the Coulter-equipped labs will have access to
Profile or Elite systems, and BD-Equipped labs will have LYSYS (HP),
PC-LYSYS, or something like WinMDI. (let's leave Mac out for now)
PROBLEM: Profile data does not appear to contain any equivalent to the FCS
"$TOT" keyword; That means that all the analysis software at my disposal
cannot analyse the files, because they appear to contain NO events!
I have tried BD LYSYS II (HP), BD PC-LYSYS and WinMDI.
I could not yet get BD CellQuest to recognise that the files exist on a Mac.
(but that's a different problem)
Maybe profile software counts the events as it reads in the data, maybe
other packages do something like that too... (but others cost extra!)
Can you throw any light on this?
Can you suggest a way of easily & quickly ennumerating the events in a
datafile?
Can you suggest a way of inserting the missing $TOT entry into the files
easily & quickly? (Pro2FCS allows editing of keywords, but only when the
keyword already exists...)
Many Thanks,
Joseph.
