An investigator requested the following info.

I want to show by FACS that a protein is cell
surface expressed. In western blotting reduction
is required for detction of this epitope tag,
indicating Ab inaccessiblity in 3D structure. Are
there any methods to partially disrupt cell
surface proteins, and hence detect this epitope,
while maintaining cell viablility for FACS ?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
