The Iowa State University Cell & Hybridoma Facility (flow cytometry and
antibody production services) has a full time position open. The following
provides information on the position responsibilities and qualifications.

Research Associate I (Full-time)

Three-quarter time of this position involves the performance of all
procedures associated with the production of monoclonal and polyclonal
antibodies, which includes the inoculation of and fluid collection from
rabbits and mice, the performance of cell fusion, cell culture and cloning
procedures in hybridoma cell line production. A quarter time of this
position involves the analysis of biological samples by flow cytometry and
cell sorting. Additional duties include recordkeeping, training and
supervising students, and consulting with and communicating results to
researchers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: B.S. in Immunology or related Life Science field. One year
lab experience with an emphasis on cell culture work. Proficient written
and oral communication skills.
Preferred: M.S. in Immunology or related Life Science field.

SALARY: $22,238 minimum
