Re: Elite for Win Problems

We are having some trouble with Coulter's latest offering:

1) We are trying to use Elite for Win output to make slides in
Powerpoint. Even when we have only one histogram on the screen the file is
about 8 megabytes and jams up the network during file transfer. The
histogram itself cannot be altered once in powerpoint because it is a bit
map, and even subsequent trimming of the bitmap does not reduce its size.
This might be because of colour blend, but these colours are default
settings in E for W, and we don't want to keep changing them or loose the
information.

2) We would like to have screens of 2-d dotplot data from multiple files
displayed simultaneously, so that titrations, timepoints etc can be mounted
alongside each other on the same screen. We can not do this with the
current version of Elite for Win, which we find a significant disadvantage
compared to other software. At the moment we have to move each plot into
Powerpoint manually.

3) The gates can't be resized once made, but have to be redrawn if the
cells change. This changes the gated colours of all subsequent samples, so
they look different unless you start over again with all the gates.

Anyone noticed any other problems?

In the Season of Goodwill, thanks in advance for help with this!
