There are only three antibodies in the world capable of exerting
a culpable block to antigen presentation; that principally because
they have been shown to specifically bind across the binding site
for peptide.
The first and perhaps most well known is the famed YAe antibody
specific for I-A of b in the presence of a peptide derived from I-E.
This came from the work of Donal Murphy, now at the Wadsworth
Center in Albany, New York and Charles Janeway at Yale. The
second is an antibody to I-A of s from a group in Israel and the
third is an antibody to human class II created in the laboratory
of Thomas Braciale at the University of Virginia.

I am looking for an antibody against human MHC II for use in tissue
culture to block antigen presentation. Ideally it would recognize a
monomorphic determinant on DP, DQ and DR and be sold without azide.
Any ideas? I have yet to have much luck after calling a half dozen
companies and another half dozen friends. Thanks,
