Re: Krypton Laser for GFP?

Researchers here have used the violet lines on a krypton laser with good
results. They have also used it with mutan gfps to do two color work with
violet and 488 excitation.

We are using a violet/uv enhanced krypton laser from Coherent. It is a pricy
piece of equipment. I don't know how well an ordenary krypton will do with gfp.
