The proposed flow cytometery data file standard update is posted on the
ISAC web page. I have received very few comments concerning this
important document. However of those to date, one deserves careful
consideration by the flow community. Several individuals have suggested
abandoning the FCS standard and moving to one of several other
image/clinical based standards such as DICOM ( see ISAC web page for more
detail). I invite interested parties to visit the ISAC web page for a
discussion of that topic. However, do not limit comments to that topic
alone. All other comments regarding FCS3.0 are welcome. The FCS standard
will be finalized soon and more community input will be helpful.
