According to Bob Zucker, Polysciences beads have suffered in quality control
recently. That is also our recent experience with 2 um yellow-green beads.
They are not as good as what we have used in the past 10-15 years. The UV
beads I referred to, though, were purchased within the last 2 months and they
did have CVs of 0.9% (maybe less but that is the best we can measure with our
instruments -- a Coulter EPICS and a MoFlo). Perhaps we were lucky with this
batch, but we have used 2 batches with equally good results.
