Announcing the 9th and 10th versions of this popular course (sponsored by Bangs Laboratories, Emerald Diagnostics, & Prolabo.) The course will be offered in San Francisco on October 1, 2 & 3 and London on October 6, 7 & 8, 1997. It will cover the practical fundamentals of development methods, processing procedures, and new applications for microsphere or latex-based diagnostic tests and assays.

The course will emphasize the basics of latex and magnetic particle-based diagnostic test development from R & D through manufacturing and production control. The broadly applicable technology is used in human healthcare screening tests and assays, veterinary and agricultural tests, and for assaying toxic chemicals in foods, water, and the general environment. Practical details of latex preparation, formulation, properties, characterization and processing will be given. The course provides a solid information base for those involved in this rapidly growing and evolving technology. The course content will be substantially revised in response to input from previous participants and includes extensive hand-out materials.
