T - ALL (L2)

Both Morphologically and by VCS pattern this leukaemia is very similar to case A, but the phenotype differs considerably, as well as showing the expression of an aberrant CD13 antigen.

CD2+/cy3+/5+/6+/7+/8+/13+(wk)/34+/45+/TdT+

A caveat about TdT
The histogram below is an overlay of these same blasts being stained for TdT using a commercial permeabliser (blue) and the "in house" method (red).
It can be seen that the commercial reagent failed to permeablise sufficiently, giving rise to a false negative result.
