"Lin-neg" merely means that the cells referred to did not display
antigens indicative of a particular myeloid/lymphoid lineage. That is,
they were not stained with antibodies against CD33, CD7, CD19, etc.
There is no lin-neg antibody; it is just a name for cells that do not
fall into a specific lineage based upon staining with a mixture of
antibodies that define the spectrum of mature and progenitor
hematopoietic lineage ontogenies.
