In response to a question on the quenching of fluorescein fluorescence by an
anti - fluoresecin antibody:

In general do antibodies quench the fluorescence of fluorescein; sometimes
only partially. This may relate to accessability of the fluorochrome to the
antibody, for in solution do the antibodies quench the fluorescein fully if
applied at saturating conditions.
