Thermo Fisher Scientific Cell Sorter Technical Sales Specialist

Responsible for the Technical Sales and related support activities for Flow Cytometry Instrumentation, specializing in the BigFoot Cell Sorter, to specified academic, government or industrial accounts comprising the assigned territory of the Eastern United States: New England, NY, NJ, PA, OH, KY, TN, MD, VA, GA, SC, NC, AL, MS and FL.  The candidate should reside in this territory.


Experience

·       Strong technical background with a minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a research laboratory operating Cell Sorters and Analyzers

·       Business acumen with comfort working in a commercial setting

·       Requires a BA or BS in Biology, Immunology or related field, preferred M.Sc. or PhD

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

·       Strong oral and written communication skills

·       Ability to travel overnight travel up to 50% of the time

·       Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

·       Able to lift 35 lbs. independently

·       Experience with Microsoft Office applications

·       Can-do attitude with exceptional motivation

·       Experience working successfully in a team environment

·       Sales experience a plus
