To Debra:

Oncor sells a product called "Ex-Wax" which is used for extracting nucleic acids
from paraffin-embedded tissue (disclaimer: I work at Oncor R & D). If you want
product info call (800) 776-6267. Molecular Probes sells great DNA binding dyes
such as Pico-Green for DNA fluorometric quantitation (I've no relationship).
