UNCROSSING OF THE FLOW CYTOMETRIC CROSSMATCH

We are planning to organise a workshop at ISAC in Rimini on Thursday 25th of
April and have been allocated 1.5 - 2 hrs.
Chairmen - BK Shenton. B Brando.

Background.
In the UK we have assessed the results from 15 Transplant Centres
who routinely perform the Flow Cytometric Crossmatch. Samples have been
exchanged and we have been able to study important areas of the Flow
Crossmatch technique. It has become apparent that there are almost as many
variations in methodology and interpretation as their are centres performing
the test. It has therefore been suggested that we hold a workshop at ISAC.
The key areas to be examined are.
1. The relevance of the Flow Crossmatch in Transplantation.
2. Methodology of the Crossmatch
3. Quality Control and standardisation of the crossmatch
4. Definition of Positivity.

If anyone would like to contribute or attend this workshop, please let me
know. I can be contacted through E-mail or by mail at the address below:-
