I have an opening for a medical technologist in flow cytometry. We
are looking for someone with flow experience with patient specimens.
Understanding of basic immunology, especially patterns of antigen
expression, is necessary. Someone with experience in immunology and
morphology would be competitive, even without flow experience. The work
includes clinical specimens as well as research. We want someone who is
interested in growing professionally and enjoys the challege of research.
Training and educational opportunities are numerous. Education in molecular
biology will also be provided. The position is civil service and therefore
has tremendous job security (even if the lab were to close, employees would
be transfered to other labs witin the Cancer Institute). The starting
salary is $36,624 with the possibility of a raise after one year, yearly
cost of living increases and a raise every two years. There are good
retirement benefits and health benefits. In addition to 13 days vacation
