Hello from Iowa,

I have a researcher which would like to know if formaldehyde fixation has
adverse effects on cells which will be sorted for PCR purposes. He wishes to
sort cells based upon intracellular immunofluorescence and then perform PCR
on them. I realize this was discussed briefly in the past, but I was
wondering if anyone has a technique optimized for this or knows of a few
tricks to get this to work (lower % of fixative, temp effects, time in
fixative, etc.). Thanks in advance and I will summarize if the replies are
numerous.
