I am about to set up a phagocytosis assay using human phagocytes.
Is it worthwhile to buy ready-to-use kits (sold by BD and Molecular
Probes,) and if so which one would you suggest?

While I have not used the Orpegen test myself, I have read a number
of reports that indicate it is very good and well prepared. I have
also talked to colleagues who have use it with success.
