Position Open

Exciting position available now for a Flow Cytometry specialist to run a
major core facility. The laboratory is in the NIH funded Multipurpose
Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Disease Center at the University of
Alabama at Birmingham, and serves a large, diverse group of leading
investigators. Major scientific interests of our user base include
autoimmunity, cancer and stem cell research. Current equipment includes
two analytic cytometers, two independent work stations and sorter, with
funds to move into high-speed, multiparameter technology. This core is
jointly operated with the UAB Center For AIDS Research core. We are
seeking an experienced researcher with an interest in developing new
applications and services. Minimal requirements are Bachelor's degree
and must have relevant experience. Selection will be on the basis of
experience and ability to work with other researchers. Salary
commensurate with experience. Initial (and confidential) inquiries by
Fax, email or surface mail. At this time we are only considering
applicants with cytometry experience.
