Yale is well-known for its leading immunology, cell biology, pharmacology and cancer research. The research environment is very vibrant. Our facility is well-developed with over 500 active registered users from over 200 different labs. The facility is comprised of 7 sorters, 13 analyzers including an Amnis Imagestream X, 2 CytoFlex LXs and 2 BD Symphonies (6 laser)and a Luminex 200. We also offer several fee for service options for our users. Please see our website for more details: https://medicine.yale.edu/immuno/flowcore/
We are looking for candidates with substantial flow cytometry experience, particularly with large fluorophore panels. Hands-on experience with cell sorting is preferred. The qualified candidate will operate and maintain a FACSAria II cell sorter as well as maintain analytic flow cytometers. Responsibilities include staining samples and acquiring and/or analyzing data for researchers on a fee-for-service basis, including Luminex style assays, as well as cryopreserving samples for researchers, also as a fee-for-service. All core facility staff are involved in advising facility users on experimental design and troubleshooting data acquisition issues.
Qualified applicants should send a resume and describe your interest in a short email directly to Ann Haberman (ann.haberman@yale.edu) or Lesley Devine (lesley.devine@yale.edu). You must be pre-qualified to work in the USA, as Yale will not sponsor visas for staff positions.
